Can you believe it's Easter already?

04-13-06 001Aaron certainly can believe it. He's made his list for the Easter Bunny, decorated eggs and gathered eggs like a pro at his school's Easter Egg Hunt on Thursday.

He's always been very good at finding and grabbing Easter eggs - like he was born for it. This year was no exception. He scanned the field, chose his turf and collected his eggs in record time.

How strict is his school? The kids were allowed to get only six eggs, then were to open and remove the candy and put the candy into their specially made Easter Bunny bags, then return the empty eggs for future usage. The parents were responsible for their own child(ren) and the return of the empty eggs, while the teachers stood guard to ensure the orderly gathering and return of the plastic treasures. Fun, smiles and laughter were only allowed in extreme circumstances. Yelling and screaming were strictly prohibited.

Ah, well, Aaron and I always seem to find ways to have fun even under the strictest of rules. Some may call it subordinace, but I prefer to call it a gift.
