Field Day Fun

Aaron Ty's last field day at Howland Springs was a blast. I was put in charge of basketball. How the 6' 3" guy got basketball, I have no idea. But the kids had a ball and I had a headache when it was all over. I had to keep reminding every class that the basket was the target, not my nose (despite how much easier a target my nose was to hit!).

Cookies, chips and lemonade awaited the kids (and the parents) when the games were over. Aaron's second grade teacher (above) was a tremendous help this past year with all that was going on in his life. We were blessed to have such a caring and understanding teacher for him this year.

Aaron Ty was wiped out at day's end, but was smiling ear to ear to many stories to tell. He is now looking forward to the summer with swimming, parks, museums, baseball games and, of course, no school! Third grade will bring new adventures as he enters a new school. We will all have lots of wonderful memories of Howland Springs, though.
