Halloween 2009

This year Aaron Ty went as Captain Rex from Star Wars The Clone Wars. He was in a Star Wars mood (and still is) since going to a Star Wars themed birthday party. Now for the events.

Thursday was his Halloween parade/party at school. All the kids' costumes looked great. There were several clone troopers, although clearly they were copycats of Aaron Ty. There were zombies, robots, a refrigerator, a hot dog and one girl was even dressed as Captain Janeway from Star Trek DS9. Aaron Ty came home with a personalized skull bucket filled with treats including his first set of glow-in-the-dark vampire teeth.

Friday night Aaron Ty and Dad went trick or treating around our old neighborhood and saw several of his friends from school and scouts. It was an absolutely perfect Halloween evening. The temperature was in the low 50's with a few clouds just hovering around a near full moon. We got good exercise and lots of candy. Then we went back to his house to sort out (and eat) the candy while watching "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and "Abbott & Costello Meet the Mummy" to finish off our Halloween festivities.

On Saturday Aaron and Mommy went trick or treating with his cousin Noah, who dressed as Master Chief from Halo. Mommy said they had such a good time that they kept skipping houses along the way and had to keep being reminded to go get candy.

So needless to say, everyone had a wonderful Halloween and both houses have plenty of candy!
