Tubes are called for

After a visit to the best ears, nose and throat specialist in the area, it was determined that Aaron Ty does indeed need to have tubes inserted in his ears - both of them. As part of the procedure his adenoids will also be checked and may be removed if necessary.

It's a relatively minor procedure that is done in the nearby surgery center as an outpatient as opposed to being admitted to the hospital. He'll be asleep during the procedure (as I would like to be) and we're assured the post pain will be minimal and may be controlled with Tylenol.

The only tricky part (other than the unknown affects of anesthesia, of course) is that no water is permitted to get into his ears after the tubes are inserted. He'll need to wear ear plugs anytime he's near water until the tubes come out.

The procedure is set for August 22nd and we pray all will go well and he awakens smiling and happy as he does each morning.
