On June 1st, Aaron Ty and I went on an overnight camp out with his Cub Scout pack and naturally I forgot the camera. Fortunately I had my iPhone so I got a couple of shots. Here Aaron Ty was part of the color guard (although he's saluting with the wrong hand).While the outing from a leadership standpoint was not well organized or managed, the overall experience for us was good. It was the first time that Aaron Ty had gone camping and together we had a great time.
For Aaron Ty the best parts were playing with the other scouts and eating around the campfire. For me it was seeing Aaron sleeping in his sleeping bag and listening to the night sounds (including a very loud owl at 3 AM).
For the record, we were the only ones that slept without the aid of air mattresses or cots in our tent.
