My little buddy is really growing up - far too fast, but I have been filled with great pride all week.
Like me, Aaron Ty loves to play on his computer, as well as the Wii and PS2, but I've been trying to find other non-electronic games that he really enjoys. This week we hit the jackpot. I introduced him to both Stratego and Risk - two classic games that I enjoyed in my youth. Amazingly enough, he loves them, too.
We've probably put in nearly 10 hours of playing time combined for those two games this week and he is getting better each time. He's really very good at coming up with strategic plans and even getting better at changing his plan when it's not working.
On top of learning those games, he has been reading more and has been quite the helper both around the house and as my "assistant" when I take him on-site to a client.
I could not be more pleased or proud. Aaron Ty is really growing up.
