As today was picture day, I'm certainly glad he didn't have this urge during the taking of the pictures at school.
I have no idea how long it will take for his pictures from school to come in, but as soon as they do, rest assured they'll be here. He did great a smiling, that I can tell you. He made me come to school during that time to "make him smile".
All the kids did a great job during the picture taking process and the photographer was wonderful and very considerate of the requests of parents. One parent had written on the envelope we were to send with our children that they wanted pictures taken both with and without a hat they had sent with their daughter. I'm not sure why they couldn't take their own picture anytime they wanted with a hat, but nonetheless the photographer didn't hesitate to have someone go to the child's class and retrieve said hat.
The only other thing of mention was that the parent-helper of the day for Aaron's class tried to help get the kids to smile. She used the old "tried and true" method of rabbit ears above the photographer's head. Unfortunately, the daughter of the parent, being a good daughter, duplicated her mother's actions as the picture was being shot. Again, the photographer merely took another picture as her assistant and I refrained the parent from pulling another stunt. Perhaps there are times when parents shouldn't be quite so involved.
