Fun Day Friday

Friday's "scheduled events" turned out to not only be helpful, but fun as Aaron and I had a great day together.

Learning Time included us at the piano as Aaron learned to play Mary had a Little Lamb. He even did it without colored or numbered keys. He simply learned where middle C was (#1) and counted to find the other keys as marked in his Disney music book. It was fun and so exciting to see his eyes light up as he played and recognized what he was playing.

Creative Time also included music. We listened to lots of different childrens songs and created a special CD just for him to listen to at night. Songs were from The Wiggles, including Where's Jeff his current favorite, Bear and the Big Blue House, Sesame Street and others.

For Reading Time we read a half dozen Dr. Seuss books. He just loves hearing those rhymes - especially when you start reading them faster and faster and making them tongue twisters.

Play Times included playing Toon Town, nerf baseball inside, Break the Ice and then outside for more baseball and park play. The little guy is really starting to clobber that baseball. I taught him how and where to stand at the plate (we used his new frisbee), and he really began to get the hang of timing and location. Several shots were loud and long and straight over my head. BOOM! GONE!

Dadda was tired when the day was done, but nothing can beat the fun between father and son.
