Serengeti TrekElaine the Crane was our mascot on Wednesday and helped lead us to our Bible point to "Tell About God". The kids learned about the faith of three friends - Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego - as they defied King Nebuchadnezzar and his blazing furnace.
The kids in my classes had fun playing out the roles of each of the characters from the story - including the flames. Aaron Ty's class was brought in again, and they had an especially good time as together they played the king, the three friends, the guards, an angel and, yes, the flames of the blazing furnace.
The best part for me was listening to he and his crew mates saying "King Nebuchadnezzar."
