Stay home Dadda day gets scheduled

As part of our effort to calm things at home, we've enacted a schedule for the major activities involving Aaron Ty. Even Aaron's self-named "stay home Dadda day" has been added to the schedule.

As we all know raising a child is a life altering experience and it has always been my belief that for it to be successful, the parents must suffer along with the child at times. That may be coming back to haunt me now.

Today is my first day home with Aaron since the new schedule was made and I'm exhausted just looking at it. Here's a sample:

9:00 - Learning Time
9:30 - Play Time
10:00 - Creative Time
11:30 - Lunch Time (finally something for dadda)
12:30 - Play Time
1:30 - Story Time
2:00 - Quiet Time (ahhhh, I'll be ready for this)

I'm not knocking the schedule, in fact, being a bit anal, I appreciate a schedule. I'm just used to us doing whatever we want whenever we want on these days. Now I had to get up, look over our schedule and come up with what we were going to do during certain times like Learning Time and Creative Time. Hmmm, perhaps I could teach him how to wash the dishes. Is playing the piano learning or creative? I mean he IS learning how to play, but music is definitely creative. Decisions, decisions.

Today should be fun!
