VBS - Day 1

The Serengeti Trek

While Kim and I are teaching separate classes in this year's Vacation Bible School, Aaron Ty is in the Pre-K class and seems to be enjoying it very much.

Monday's Bible story was about Gideon leading only 300 against 135,000 Midianites. Each time throughout any class that the kids heard "know God" they would all shout out "Wow!" Aaron Ty continued it even at home.

Kim is running Chadder's Theater which includes showing a movie from The Serengeti Trek as well as explaining the story with the help of workbooks and the very special animal friends that the kids will all get to take home at week's end.

I am doing the Bible Exploration, which is basically acting out each day's Bible lesson with the help of props, sound effects and some creative drama on my part which hopefully helps put the kids in these Biblical character's places and helps them remember the story.

They also get to go to a class to make crafts each day, go outside for games, and, of course, share a snack at the Watering Hole. There's also music, laughter and plenty of fun for eveyone.

Zach the Zebra was today's mascot.
